Student opportunities and activities
At Australia Street Infants School, we offer a variety of programs in the classroom and across the school to help students build new skills, make friends and explore new interests.
Our programs include:
- sports including hockey, taekwondo, gymnastics and soccer
- performing arts through dance, music and drama
- strings music program including the opportunity to join the Stringbeans Ensemble!
- excursions and incursions involving NSW Art Gallery, Botanic Gardens and Field of Mars Reserve

Our extra-curricular highlights
Stringbeans
Stringbean Ensemble focuses on students developing musical skills in a social setting. Fostering teamwork and a deeper appreciation for music.

Ricky's Music Tuition
Ricky’s Music Tuition provides contemporary and progressive music education to
primary school students. It is centred around popular, well-known music and taught with real-world flair.
Drama
Develop confidence, ensemble skills and have fun in playful classes. Inner West Drama offers kids a focused space in which they can play imaginatively through games and improvisation.
Brick Kids
Unleash your child’s inner master builder at our epic Workshops! We’ve got amazing models and endless imaginative play that will have them building and creating like crazy.
Chess
Children are given the opportunity to play games of chess to put their newly learned strategies into practise!
